Aunt Betty's BBQ Sauce

3 Tbs. butter ¼ cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic 1 cup catsup
2 Tbs. vinegar ¾ teaspoons salt
Tobasco sauce ¼ cup lemon juice
¼ cup Worchestershire sauce
2 tsp. water
1½ tsp. chili powder 2 Tbs. sugar
2 Tbs. dry mustard
Cook onion and garlic in butter until tender. Stir in rest of ingredients except mustard and water. Blend mustard and water until smooth. Stir in and heat until bubbly. Cover, remove from heat. Let sit for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to marry. Now you are ready to flavor your favorite meats. We love this sauce with chicken!
